What is an economizer?
A damper and control on many commercial rooftop units that brings in outside air for cooling when it is cool enough outside, so the compressor can rest.
How do I know if my economizer is broken?
Often you do not: the unit keeps running. Signs include a space that will not cool on hot afternoons, stuffy rooms, or a damper that never moves. We check it on every commercial maintenance visit.
Do you give a written report?
Yes. Every commercial visit ends with a written note per unit: what was found, what was done and what to plan for.
Do you work on homes too?
Yes. AC, furnaces, heat pumps and ductless systems in Compton homes and small rentals.
